Payday routine here: bills first, bit into savings, then a set amount goes into the fun pot. Once the fun pot's gone, it's gone till next month.

Deposit limits on every single site, set low enough that a bad night can't turn into a bad month. Do it the day you join anywhere, takes two minutes.

Spreadsheet, obviously. Every deposit and withdrawal logged. Sounds tragic but the running total has stopped me kidding myself more than once.

Mine's dead simple — a tenner a week and that's my lot. Treat it like the lottery money: soon as it's spent, I'm done.
